FIELD SUSTAINMENT SUPPLIES

Dude Wipes

Field life can stink at times, but that doesn't mean your ass has to. Hygiene standards are important to stay on top of. Not only for your buddies sake, but yours as well. The larger size is an appreciated touch as well.

Arcturus Camo Paint Sticks

3 Sticks each containing 2 different colors for a total of 6. Applies fairly easy & washes off without too much trouble. Condition dependent but found to last for about 6 hours before needing to re-apply another coating.

Mini Hand Shovel
This 11" Long hand shovel has been a surprisingly good addition to my pack. It leaves a bit to be desired when it comes to tasks like filling sandbags compared to your standard E-Tool, however it comes in at only 6.4oz. If you're mostly just burying the aftermath of an MRE & possibly filling a hand full of sandbags, this tool will be up to the task.
550 Paracord
Its Paracord...
Thats all.
Sawyer Insect Repellent
This may as well be a bottle of magic far as I'm concerned. Used to treat clothing, gear, equipment basically anything that's made of some kind of fabric material.
An absolute must during the warmer months when bugs are at their peek.
Poncho
A Rain Poncho 55" wide, 90" long & 16oz in weight. Slightly larger hood than what you typically see. Not big enough for a helmet but those who have larger heads will be happy with the amount of space. Copper Grommets to aid when used as a form of shelter.
Mountain House Meals
These may not be the healthiest option when it comes to field meals, but they are fairly cheap, light weight, & super easy to prepare. Add hot water & little time and you have some fuel that don't taste half bad. Room temp water can be used to just less ideal.
Clipper Lighters
Don't let the crazy designs fool you. Clipper lighters are the choice for EDC & any field use. For one both the fuel & flint are refillable not only saving you coin in the long run but now you can guarantee it to be full at step off. They are also very quick and easy to dry off if the unit was to get wet. Getting back into action much quicker than any BIC.
Long Handle Spork
Don't be the guy shoveling chili-mac in your face with your fingers or cupping the bag & pouring directly into that yapper like some salvage. Get a spork. Any will do but if you're in need, this one has a long handle and is light weight.
Instant Vietnamese Coffee
No instant coffee is really great coffee. That being said this has to be by far one of the better ones on the market. Comes in individual packs that are easy to pack down in a MRE. Simple things like this goes a long way when in the suck.
Anti Monkey Butt Powder
I know the name sounds like a joke but its anything butt (hehe). Seriously though I cant speak more highly of this Anti Chafing Sweat absorbing powder. Don't be a rookie & die to swamp ass.
GEAR AID Water Repellent
Durable Water Repellent Spray does exactly what it says. Treat your fabric materials with this prior to step off & watch as large amounts of water pool right off you. Doesn't keep you 100% dry but does make the world of difference.
1/4" Shock Cord
Having some extra bungie shock cord on hand is never a bad thing. Typically its one of the first things to fail on pouches and placards so you will end up needing some at some point. Also a great way to help attach odd items to your kit.
Ranging Card
Laser range finders are very convenient, however shooting off lasers at a target may not be the best idea, depending on what that target is. These translucent cards when paired with a string give the user a really good range estimate.
